The complete operational rules, mathematical mechanics, and community submission guidelines governing the live global countdown.
RULE 01: THE SYNCHRONIZED NUCLEAR COUNTDOWN

1.2. The $1.00 USD = +1:00 Minute Law: Every dollar ($1.00 USD) contributed through Stripe adds exactly 60.0 stackable seconds (+1 minute) to the active expiration timestamp.
1.3. Cumulative Stackability: Contributed seconds are strictly cumulative. If 12 minutes remain on the clock and a participant contributes $10 USD, the clock immediately advances to 22 minutes (1,320 seconds).
1.4. No Upper Limit: There is no ceiling on how much time can be added. If a company, creator, or community rallies to add 5,000 minutes ($5,000 USD), humanity gains over 3.4 days of guaranteed life.
RULE 02: THE PAY-TO-RANK & OUTBID SYSTEM

2.1. The #1 Savior Throne: The hero spotlight on the home page is reserved for the contributor who holds the single highest contribution on the leaderboard.
2.2. Outbidding the Throne: To claim the #1 Throne from the current leader, you must contribute an amount strictly greater than the current top saver's recorded bid. Once verified, your name, @handle, website link, and broadcast message replace the previous leader in real-time.
2.3. Hall of Fame Rankings: The Hall of Fame ranks all participants in descending order by total contribution amount. In the event of a tie, the earlier timestamp holds higher priority.
2.4. 100% Algorithmic Transparency: There are no shadow ranking algorithms, quality scores, or artificial suppression. Your visibility is purely determined by the public financial ledger.

RULE 05: THE ARMAGEDDON LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL
CONSEQUENCES OF REACHING 00:00:00.00
5.1. Extinction Event: If the active countdown reaches 00:00:00 without a saving transaction, Earth enters Armageddon mode.
5.2. Lockdown Audio & Visuals: Emergency synthesizers generate nuclear siren waveforms via Web Audio API, and the user interface activates CRT distortion shaders.
5.3. Historical Immortality: The final Hall of Fame standings freeze in perpetuity, immortalizing the last contributors who attempted to prevent humanity's demise.
5.4. Reboot & New Era: A new era can be initiated by triggering a new genesis reset, establishing a brand-new countdown cycle.
All payments made to The Doomsday Clock are final, non-refundable, and immediately irrevocable. The instant a transaction is confirmed by Stripe, the clock is atomically incremented on the live database and broadcast worldwide. As digital time cannot be un-added, chargebacks and refunds are strictly prohibited.
